Winter Park house

Case study

The best views in this home on one of central Florida's beautiful lakes go to the most lived-in rooms - the kitchen, family room, study and master bedroom. The clients' glass art collection is housed in a two-sided, see-through display case so as not to interfere with the views or the openness of the interior. The family's large dogs have free rein through most of the house but are restricted by glass doors from the more formal rooms at the front. The couple's divergent schedules dictated that dressing and exercise areas be outside the master bedroom. A large skylight brings daylight into the central stairhall and circulation space.
